We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller Specialist to join our team and support our clients in managing their financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience in financial analysis, and the ability to provide strategic insights to enhance financial performance.

Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.
- Assist in the coordination and support of financial audits and reviews.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on accounting principles and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial management.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis roles.
- CPA certification or equivalent professional accreditation preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software. QuickBooks certified preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, with occasional requirements for evening or weekend work depending on client needs.
- On-site position at client location in the Elgin area.
