2nd Shift


Hours: 2:00pm-10:30pm


$20.75/hour



Assists with installs, modifications, and repairs to computer hardware and software systems. Provides technical assistant and training to system users by performing the following duties:

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support desktop issues and Tier II IT Technicians on a daily basis
  • Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives on user’s premises.
  • Loads specified software packages such as operating systems, word processing, or spreadsheet programs into computer.
  • Enters commands and observes system functions to verify correct system operation.
  • Responds to co-worker inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
  • Instructs users in use of equipment, software, and manuals.
  • Recommends or performs minor remedial actions to correct problems.
  • Coordinates activities with help desk, network services, or other information systems groups.
  • Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
  • Replaces defective or inadequate software packages.
  • Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.

Education and/or Experience 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three years’ experience in a professional IT environment


Language Skills 

Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.


Mathematical Skills 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


Reasoning Ability 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.


Computer Skills 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have in depth knowledge of computers, Database software; Design software; Development software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
