Brief Job Summary:
The Receiving Material Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections and measurements of incoming materials within a warehouse environment. This role ensures purchased materials meet quality standards, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and provides critical feedback that directly impacts product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in a safe manner and comply with all HS&E, security, and emergency procedures 
  • Maintain a positive, healthy work environment and strong attendance/work ethic 
  • Inspect purchased material and products in warehouse locations 
  • Document inspection findings and results accurately 
  • Complete one (1) Quality-approved continuous improvement project annually 
  • Perform measurements of incoming material and make decisions regarding product quality 
  • Communicate performance issues, inspection findings, and non-conformances to relevant stakeholders Conduct inspections, data logging, reporting, analysis, and training as needed 
  • Support warehouse personnel daily and assist with control of non-conforming products 
  • Perform other work as directed by the Supplier Quality Engineer 

Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
Experience:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a related role 
Skills & Competencies:
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to use basic measuring equipment 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP 
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 
  • Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing assignments, and learn office procedures/new software 
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift 
  • Ability to lift 25–50 lbs to waist level and up to 25 lbs above shoulders
  • Ability to work at a computer and keyboard occasionally during the shift 
Work Environment:
  • Warehouse atmosphere
  • Must wear PPE including safety glasses with side shields, safety-toe footwear, hearing protection, and additional PPE as required
