Production Lead

Fern is at the top of the trade show and expo service industry. Our operation spans more than 200 cities from coast to coast. We are looking to add a Production Lead to our Kansas City team.  As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and leading their assigned area and ensuring that assigned tasks are completed as efficiently as possible. 

You will report directly to the GM.  Position does require being onsite full time, as well as the ability to travel to various shows.  Must be available to work nights and weekends as needed to support various shows. 

Pay is $24/hr.  

What you’ll do:  

• Must be able to learn and understand quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures necessary to lead and troubleshoot assigned production areas.
• Must be able to work independently and lead employees within a small group to ensure production schedule and quality standards are met and report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain production output and follow task requirements.
• Setup booths prior to the beginning of an event; disassemble booths once event is over.
• Interacts with customers in a professional manner.
• Maintain an open line of communication with Foreman and Account Managers.
• Operate a forklift
• Deliver freight and equipment to multiple show-sites. (CDL)

Who You Are:

• Experience in trade shows or related industry preferred.   
• Must have flexibility with availability on weekdays and weekends to support warehouse and show-site needs.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Planning and organizing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and presentation skills.
• Highly motivated, self-starter who’s flexible and has a great attitude.
• Forklift certification preferred.
