Our singular mission is to help people feel confident in their skin, so we created the first-to-market, custom, 30-minute facial experience to make skincare more accessible, efficient, and effective. Each studio is equipped with expert estheticians who provide professional-grade results at an affordable price-point.

Glowbar is seeking a Studio Guide

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Care for clients:

    Create a safe space for clients to navigate through our modern experienceGuide clients through check-in and retail check-outProvide a friendly, compassionate environment, ensuring that each client receives an extraordinary, memorable experience as they navigate through the space and our retail assortmentProvide clients with product knowledge and at-home routine suggestionsEmail/text clients to assist in appointment booking/rebooking, follow up, and offering to answer any last-minute questions
Care for our team:

    Provide feedback to management on progress and challenges, paired with suggestions Collaborate with estheticians on opportunities to improve the experience to better support and inform clientsAssist Management in daily studio tasks and projectsMaintain front of studio retail inventory & operating supplies on regular intervalsEnhance and uphold standards, policies & procedures through various means of communicationAssist with social media on an as-needed basisParticipate in events onsite/offsite

Qualifications:

    1+ years of hospitality experience (i.e. restaurant, retail, hotel, salon/spa, etc.) with a proven track record of superior customer serviceMust have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule - must have weekend, holiday, and some early morning/midday/late evening weekday availabilityFull-time requires 5 days of open availability, including both weekend daysPart-time requires 3 days of open availability, including one weekend dayWeekend only requires open availability Saturday and Sunday every weekMust love hospitality and interacting with customersMust have the ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environmentMust be a forward-thinking problem solver with a strong work ethic who has compassion for employees and clientsPassion for beauty, skincare, learning and trying new things every day!
Working Conditions:


 At Glowbar, our studios are active, client-focused environments — and we want you to know what’s involved behind the scenes. Here’s what you can expect physically in this role:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the entire shift
  • Bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting (up to 15 pounds) — including merchandise, laundry, and back-of-house supplies
  • Climbing up and down stairs during shift operations
  • Remaining mobile and on your feet for the full duration of your shift (shift lengths may vary)
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels, particularly in laundry or supply areas
  • Performing operational tasks such as restocking, organizing supplies, and light cleaning
  • Required to work weekends, evenings and holiday to support our client demand

    Comp: $16-17 per hour
