Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Program Management to develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with customer demand, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity.
- Continuously monitor production timelines and adjust schedules to address priority changes, material delays, or operational disruptions.
- Partner with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components required to meet production goals.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent material shortages, excess stock, and production downtime.
- Coordinate with production supervisors and team leads to ensure workflow execution aligns with established schedules.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to maintain on-time delivery performance.
- Track key production metrics and analyze operational data to drive efficiency and performance improvements.
- Prepare and present routine production status reports and performance updates to management.
- Serve as the primary liaison between production, sales, customer service, and cross-functional teams to provide accurate order status updates.
- Communicate schedule adjustments and assess downstream impact to all relevant stakeholders.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize resource utilization.
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing coordination, or related operations roles, preferably within a composite or advanced manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials planning, inventory control, and ERP systems.
- Proficient in production planning software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments.
- Working knowledge of composite materials and related manufacturing processes is highly preferred.
- Experience in operations, logistics, and general business processes.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and operate independently while balancing multiple priorities.
- High School Diploma required; Business degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Position requires access to information regulated under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
