- Expected Hours of Work: Flexible scheduling - Daytime, evening, and weekend hours.  


Job Summary:

The Banquet Server position provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our members and their guests. 

As for all our team members, your primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional member experience and keep a high standard of member and guest satisfaction, service quality, appearance, and cleanliness of facilities. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential to the success of each team member, as well as the success of our operation. 

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Outgoing, friendly demeanor.

• High level of attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

• Ability to follow established schedule and communicate any necessary or desired changes according to established policies. 

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous experience in a similar environment preferred.

• Must possess basic math skills and the ability to responsibly handle money and operate a simple point-of-sale (POS) system.

• ServSafe certification preferred.

• TIPS certification preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.

• Welcome and warmly greet members. Make all members and guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.

• Monitor and observe members’ dining experience. Ensure members are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. 

• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.

• Check identification of members and guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.  Refuse to serve alcoholic beverages in a polite manner to members/guests who are not of legal age or are not able to produce proper identification.

• If consuming alcoholic beverages, observe members’ behavior, count number of drinks served, and if you feel they should not drive, offer a taxi. Do not hesitate to ask a manager to intervene.

• Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise. 

• Maintain clean service areas.

• During down time, maintain an active presence by cleaning, sweeping, polishing glasses, and performing other necessary duties.  

• Protect establishment and members by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and twist.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.


Work Environment:

• The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.

• Time Based Pay – NON-TIPPING
