JOB SUMMARY

6 Month Contract possible extension

The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting Treatt’s in-house Stability and Expiration Review programs through analytical and microbiological testing, sample management, and accurate data documentation. This role ensures reliable data generation, compliance with established laboratory procedures, and adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform analytical testing, including gas chromatography (GC), to identify and quantify chemical components, contaminants, Flavors, or residues in food products.
  • Conduct microbiological testing, including sample preparation, plating, incubation, enumeration, and organism identification.
  • Maintain strict aseptic technique.
  • Prepare reagents, standards, media, and calibration solutions per SOPs.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Accurately document results and observations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • College-level microbiology coursework.
  • Specialized chemistry coursework.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Laboratory experience (academic acceptable).
  • Gas chromatography experience preferred.
  • Microbiological lab experience preferred.
  • GMP and laboratory safety knowledge.
