Direct Reports: Product & Site Planner, Digital Merchandiser, Marketplaces CoordinatorThe RoleAs the Ecommerce Merchandising & Operations Manager, you are the operational heartbeat of our digital storefront. Your mission is to ensure the Ross-Simons online shopping experience is compelling, intuitive, and optimized for conversion. You will lead a specialized team to drive sales performance through operational excellence, data-driven merchandising, and the flawless execution of go-to-market initiatives.Core ResponsibilitiesStrategic MerchandisingStrategy Execution: Drive the site promotional strategy and event calendar in close alignment with the Product Team.Growth Programs: Design and execute innovative marketing and merchandising programs to achieve revenue and profitability goals.Lifecycle Management: Align digital merchandising efforts with seasonal demand, product lifecycles, and overarching company objectives.Discoverability: Optimize product placement, categorization, and site navigation to enhance product findability.Campaign Analysis: Continually evaluate the effectiveness of site promotions and adjust strategies to maximize ROI.Site Operations & Process ManagementProduct listings: Maintain operational trackers, SKU lists, and promotional calendars to ensure 100% transparency and accuracy across the team.Operational processes: Identify and drive process improvements to increase operational efficiency and eliminate errors.Quality Control: Ensure compliance with all ecommerce policies, focusing on data accuracy, rigorous testing, and change control.Cross-Functional Lead: Collaborate with Marketing, Planning, and Creative teams to ensure on-time, error-free launches for all digital programs.Data Analysis & OptimizationInsights to Action: Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and web analytics (GA4) to identify trends and actionable opportunities.Path-to-Purchase: Drive continuous improvement of the user journey, utilizing data to refine functionality, navigation, and UX.KPI Ownership: Monitor and implement strategies to specifically enhance Conversion Rate (CVR) and Average Order Value (AOV).Market Intelligence: Conduct frequent deep dives into best-in-class ecommerce competitors to recommend industry-leading improvements.QualificationsExperience: 5+ years in online merchandising or site operations; experience managing a teamTechnical Savvy: Expert-level proficiency with Shopify or Salesforce Commerce Cloud; hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Excel and PowerPointBusiness Acumen: Ability to connect tactical site execution to high-level sales and growth objectives.Execution-Focused: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver under pressure with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and present recommendations to large cross-functional groups.
