Trans-Northern Pipelines Inc. (Trans-Northern) operates regulated pipelines to safely transport the refined petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, aviation, and heating fuel) used by Canadian businesses and consumers every day. These pipelines connect refineries in Edmonton to Calgary, including the Calgary International Airport; and refineries in Nanticoke, Ont., and Montreal to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with lateral pipelines to Ottawa as well as to Pearson International Airport and Pierre-Elliot Trudeau International Airport. POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Team Lead, Scheduling, the Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing product movement across Trans-Northern's Eastern and Western pipeline systems. This role ensures products are delivered safely, on time, and in accordance with transport requirements, while minimizing disruptions and system conflicts. The Scheduler works closely with Field Services, Engineering, and shippers to align supply, maintenance, and operational activities, and serves as the primary contact for shipper supply-related matters.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and adjust pipeline product movement schedules to meet shipper supply requirements, operational constraints, and maintenance activities.Manage pumping rates, volumes, and breakout tank inventories to ensure efficient and balanced product flow.Create and administer monthly master schedules, allocating available line space across shippers based on accepted volumes and operational capacity.Reconcile shipper nominations and firm volumes to ensure compliance across monthly cycles.Communicate schedule updates, supply changes, and outage impacts to shippers and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.Collaborate with project, maintenance, and operations teams to align scheduling with planned and unplanned pipeline activities.Develop and manage monthly jet fuel delivery plans to ensure adequate supply and containment at airport terminals.Monitor daily inventory levels and adjust pipeline deliveries to maintain operational reliability and demand requirements.Assess and coordinate maintenance, integrity, and capital project schedules to minimize impact on pipeline operations and customer supply.Review project plans with Engineering and Field Services to optimize available line time and resource utilization.Generate monthly allocation, apportionment, and scheduling documentation for pipeline systems.Maintain accurate records of schedule revisions and provide operational data to accounting and leadership teams.QUALIFICATIONS:
Must-haves (minimum requirements):
- 2 years of experience in related fields. (Engineering or Accounting).College Diploma in related discipline. Demonstrate strong decision-making capabilities.Demonstrate flexibility in accommodating changes.Strong communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal).Alignment with our values of safety above all else, respect, trust, results focused, decisiveness, and lifelong learning.
Preference for:
- 5 years as a Senior Line Controller.Accounting Certification.
