Excavation Sewer Project Manager

Full-Time | Field & Office Based

We are seeking an experienced Excavation Sewer Project Manager to oversee underground sewer and utility projects from start to finish. Ability to coach and train as needed. This role manages permitting, traffic control plans, inspections, as-builts, crews, vendors, and budgets to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.  The Excavation Sewer Project Manager must have the ability to be on site assisting with excavation and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sewer and underground utility projects from award to closeout
• Obtain and manage city, county, and right-of-way permits
• Develop and submit traffic control plans (TCPs)
• Coordinate inspections and ensure regulatory compliance (DOT, OSHA, municipal)
• Read and interpret civil drawings and utility plans
• Manage schedules, labor, materials, and equipment
• Track job costs, change orders, and project profitability
• Prepare and finalize accurate as-built documentation
• Serve as primary contact for municipalities, inspectors, and customers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of excavation, Pipe Lining, underground utility, or sewer construction experience
• Project management experience preferred
• Coaching and training as needed
• Ability to be onsite assisting with excavation/ repairs
• Strong knowledge of municipal permitting processes
• Experience with traffic control requirements
• Ability to read civil/utility plans
• Strong budgeting and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a background check

Preferred

• Public works or right-of-way project experience
• DOT/OSHA knowledge
• Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification
