Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, staging, and tracking materials throughout the manufacturing facility to support production schedules and shipping requirements. This role ensures that raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods are available where and when needed while maintaining accurate inventory and a clean, organized workspace.


Key Responsibilities


• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies

• Move raw materials, components, and finished goods to designated production, storage, or shipping areas

• Stage materials for production according to work orders and schedules

• Maintain accurate inventory records through ERP systems, barcoding, or manual logs

• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories

• Identify and report material shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse and material storage areas

• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous or heavy materials

• Support production and shipping teams as needed

• Comply with all company policies, quality standards, and OSHA regulations

Requirements:

Qualifications


• High school diploma or GED preferred

• 1+ year of material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification

• Basic computer skills; ERP or inventory system experience a plus

• Ability to read work orders, labels, and production schedules

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic


Physical Requirements


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods

• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely

• Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels



Salary Information

$18.00 - $22.00 Hourly Wage
