Position: Assistant General Manager (AGM)
We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Assistant General Manager who thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The AGM plays a key role in daily operations, team development, and ensuring a flawless guest experience. You will support and work closely with the Owner/GM, leading by example and motivating your team to uphold Round Table Pizza’s high standards.
Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Assist in overseeing daily FOH & BOH operations
- Ensure food quality, accuracy, and speed of service meet brand standards
- Lead shifts with confidence, energy, and strong problem-solving ability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment
- Support scheduling, labor management, and shift coverage
- Handle cash control responsibly and accurately
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Team Development
- Train, coach, and hold team members accountable
- Encourage a positive, respectful, and high-performance culture
- Support new hire onboarding and ongoing staff development
- Lead by example with professionalism, communication, and teamwork
Guest Experience
- Greet guests and deliver outstanding hospitality
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and effectively
- Promote community involvement, loyalty programs, and special events
- Support fun, memorable experiences for dine-in guests, fundraisers, and local partners
Administrative Support
- Assist with inventory, ordering, vendor communication, and waste management
- Help monitor cost controls: food, labor, supplies, and equipment
- Support marketing initiatives, LRM partnerships, and promotional activations
- Complete daily paperwork, logs, and reporting accurately
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of restaurant management or shift lead experience (pizza experience a plus)
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to thrive during busy rushes and high-volume shifts
- ServSafe, Food Handler, and/or TABC certifications preferred
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to guest satisfaction
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
