Position: Assistant General Manager (AGM)

We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Assistant General Manager who thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The AGM plays a key role in daily operations, team development, and ensuring a flawless guest experience. You will support and work closely with the Owner/GM, leading by example and motivating your team to uphold Round Table Pizza’s high standards.

Responsibilities

Operations & Leadership

  • Assist in overseeing daily FOH & BOH operations
     
  • Ensure food quality, accuracy, and speed of service meet brand standards
     
  • Lead shifts with confidence, energy, and strong problem-solving ability
     
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment
     
  • Support scheduling, labor management, and shift coverage
     
  • Handle cash control responsibly and accurately
     
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
     

Team Development

  • Train, coach, and hold team members accountable
     
  • Encourage a positive, respectful, and high-performance culture
     
  • Support new hire onboarding and ongoing staff development
     
  • Lead by example with professionalism, communication, and teamwork
     

Guest Experience

  • Greet guests and deliver outstanding hospitality
     
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and effectively
     
  • Promote community involvement, loyalty programs, and special events
     
  • Support fun, memorable experiences for dine-in guests, fundraisers, and local partners
     

Administrative Support

  • Assist with inventory, ordering, vendor communication, and waste management
     
  • Help monitor cost controls: food, labor, supplies, and equipment
     
  • Support marketing initiatives, LRM partnerships, and promotional activations
     
  • Complete daily paperwork, logs, and reporting accurately
     

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of restaurant management or shift lead experience (pizza experience a plus)
     
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
     
  • Ability to thrive during busy rushes and high-volume shifts
     
  • ServSafe, Food Handler, and/or TABC certifications preferred
     
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to guest satisfaction
     
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
     
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
