At Tampa Family Health Centers, we are seeking a dynamic Women’s Health Coordinator who is equal parts strategist, problem-solver, and patient advocate. This is more than an administrative role — it is the operational backbone of our Women’s Health Department.

Women’s health requires precision, urgency, and seamless coordination. As our Women’s Health Coordinator, you will:

  • Drive provider productivity through strategic scheduling and template management

  • Ensure timely referrals, authorizations, and specialized appointments

  • Reduce first-pass denials and improve financial performance

  • Enhance the patient experience through proactive communication and engagement

  • Lead and mentor Referral Specialists to meet quality and productivity standards

  • Serve as a liaison between clinical teams, administration, and ancillary services

Your work will directly influence patient outcomes, department performance, and overall quality of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and adjust provider schedule templates aligned with productivity standards

  • Monitor schedules to ensure appropriate and timely patient placement

  • Manage referrals and secure authorizations for procedures and high-risk cases

  • Supervise and train Women’s Health Referral Specialists

  • Approve PTO, review timecards, and maintain team accountability

  • Maintain up-to-date referral resource databases

  • Support quality, financial, and performance metrics across the department

  • Communicate clearly with patients and care teams to coordinate next steps

This is a leadership-oriented coordination role ideal for someone ready to drive operational excellence.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma (Associate’s Degree preferred)

  • Minimum two (2) years of referral management and care coordination experience

  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience

  • Strong knowledge of managed care referral processes and medical terminology

  • Experience navigating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems

  • Exceptional multitasking ability in high-volume environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced computer proficiency, including Windows-based applications
