We are seeking a cross-trained Dental Assistant / Front Office Coordinator who thrives in both clinical and administrative environments. This role is ideal for a patient-focused professional who enjoys variety, teamwork, and delivering exceptional patient experiences at every touchpoint.
Dental Assisting Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during general and restorative procedures, including fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after procedures, ensuring proper setup and breakdown
- Sterilization and infection control
- Capture radiographs including CBCT scans, FMX, BWX, PAs
- Patient education – pre-op/post-op instructions
- Accurately document clinical notes and treatment information in the dental software system
- Assist with impressions, fabricating temporaries, and preparing lab cases
- Monitor inventory and restock clinical supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment
- Provide calm, empathetic care
Front Office / Reception Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients warmly upon arrival
- Answer incoming calls and schedule clinic appointments and New Patient consultations
- Coordinate and monitor online scheduling systems
- Enter and maintain accurate patient demographic, contact, and health history information
- Verify patient documentation for compliance and procedures
- Check patients in and out efficiently
- Review financial arrangements and collect payments at time of service
- Communicate clearly with patients and document conversations appropriately
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members for smooth daily operations
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized front office and shared spaces on a rotating basis
Required Education & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant
- Florida X-Ray certification
- Minimum 1-2 years of dental front office, scheduling, or reception experience
