Assembly Technician Position Overview
This position will be responsible for manufacturing the mechanical or electrical components for a variety of parts, subassemblies, and finished goods to ensure the unit functions according to specifications.
Assembly Technician Essential Job Functions
- Reads test procedures, performance specifications, and drawings to perform testing procedures
- Assemble parts, subassemblies, and finish goods assemblies
- Test the product for functionality and compare results to specifications
- Replaces/Repairs defective wiring and components
- Operates equipment to verify internal assembly and alignment of parts according to specifications
- Accounts for time and work completed via an online computer data collection system
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read schematics and identify electronic components.
- Able to electronically troubleshoot to the component level, with a working knowledge of related tools, meters, and test equipment.
- Familiarity with assembly line processes.
- Experience working in a factory or manufacturing facility.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Moderate Computer skills.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools.
Requirements
- Sit, stand, and walk for up to 10 hours per day.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Schedule
- Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Job Type: Full-time
- Expected hours: 40 per week
- Pay: $18.77 - $20.00 an hour
