Assembly Technician Position Overview


This position will be responsible for manufacturing the mechanical or electrical components for a variety of parts, subassemblies, and finished goods to ensure the unit functions according to specifications.


Assembly Technician Essential Job Functions

  •  Reads test procedures, performance specifications, and drawings to perform testing procedures
  •  Assemble parts, subassemblies, and finish goods assemblies
  •  Test the product for functionality and compare results to specifications
  •  Replaces/Repairs defective wiring and components
  •  Operates equipment to verify internal assembly and alignment of parts according to specifications
  •  Accounts for time and work completed via an online computer data collection system
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read schematics and identify electronic components.
  • Able to electronically troubleshoot to the component level, with a working knowledge of related tools, meters, and test equipment.
  • Familiarity with assembly line processes.
  • Experience working in a factory or manufacturing facility.
  • Previous warehouse experience is advantageous.
  • Moderate Computer skills.
  • Experience using power tools and hand tools.

Requirements

  • Sit, stand, and walk for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Push/pull up to 50 lbs.

 

Schedule

  • Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Expected hours: 40 per week
  • Pay: $18.77 - $20.00 an hour
