Position: Renewing Communities -Operations Coordinator

Reports to: Solid Line President, Renewing Management, and dotted line to Renewing Communities Board of Directors 

Status: Exempt

Position Summary: 

Renewing Communities is a not for profit organization created to curate environments where residents, employees and neighbors can flourish! The Operations Coordinator will provide overall administrative support for the foundation and provide general oversight of all programming and operations of the non-profit to ensure daily objectives are met, through reporting and communication.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, implement and evaluate the organization's day to day operations and ensure that all operations of the foundation are carried out 
  • Complete budget vs actual reports monthly, as well as approving expenses, communicating grant approvals, etc
  • Develop and implement strategies aiming to promote the organization's mission
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain deadlines, getting all reporting from the field compiled on a weekly/monthly/qtrly/annual basis to share with Board of Directors  
  • Willingness to work/be accessible during nontraditional business hours
  • Provide the board with information as requested
  • Create an annual report to be shared with stakeholders
  • Contact ECM to arrange a new child sponsorship when communities are acquired.  
  • Act as administrative support to community ambassadors by approving programming within budgeted guidelines or communicating when exceptions will need approved  
  • Occasionally assist with the development of programs if community ambassador is not available or special circumstances arise 
  • Responsible for overseeing the management of the Resident & Employee Assistance Fund 
  • Coordinate our critical response team after natural disasters or tragic events. 
  • Work with contracted partners (Beacon Minitries, CCN, etc) in scheduling, invoice approval, program administration, onboarding or communication 
  • Provide feedback/analytics for reviews for Community Ambassadors, as well as provide training and support as needed. 
  • Initiate background screens when volunteers are needed by forwarding information to our HR team 
  • Assist partners with grant applications and/or facilitate research when grants are needed 
  • Liase between all of associated companies to ensure Renewing Communities grant sponsorships are offered and implemented for programs that restore hope for employees, residents and neighbors.  


Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in detailed administrative work and working within deadline
  • Ability to communicate and work with the public
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once 
  • Background in non-profit helpful but not necessary 
  • 1-3 years of experience in administration, social work or project management will be viewed as assets to this position
