Fixed Asset Coordinator (1099 – 3 Month Engagement)
Lavu is looking for a hands-on Fixed Asset Coordinator to lead a focused 3-month consulting engagement strengthening our hardware tracking, inventory discipline, and billing alignment as we scale.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of Finance, Operations, and Onboarding. This role is in office, at our Tampa, FL location.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and maintain a complete fixed asset register across all locations and hardware (inventory, useful life, depreciation for customer and employee equipment)
- Own inventory discipline tied to onboarding demand:
- Actively manage the onboarding order pipeline
- Match equipment needs against available inventory before ordering
Limit inventory to a 30-day maximum on hand
- Coordinate new equipment orders only when warranted
- Reconcile fixed assets to the general ledger and support audit readiness
- Partner with Billing to track equipment returns, identify unreturned hardware, and support timely billing & collections
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–7+ years in fixed asset accounting, asset management, or inventory-heavy finance/ops roles
- Strong understanding of depreciation, asset lifecycle, and GAAP treatment
- Experience with ERP / fixed asset systems and advanced Excel
- Detail-driven, process-oriented, and comfortable bringing order to complex systems
- Consultant mindset: practical, accountable, and execution-focused
