What You’ll Do

  • Document ophthalmologist findings, assessments, and treatment plans
  • Take medical histories and ensure patient understanding
  • Assist with workups, special testing, and in-office procedures
  • Administer eye medications and support patient education
  • Support patient flow and communicate appointment status
  • Triage patient calls per ophthalmic standards of care
  • Sterilize and maintain equipment
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and professional standards
  • Contribute positively to a team-focused environment


Diagnostic Testing & Equipment


Auto Refractor, Retinoscope, Phoropter, Slit Lamp
Pentacam/Topography, Wavescan, IOL Master/Instar
Humphrey Visual Field, Pachymetry, Tonometry
Zeiss & Heidelberg OCT systems
Stereopsis, Worth 4-Dot, Van Herick, EOM testing





Requirements:

  • Proficient with computers and office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of ophthalmic assistant experience preferred
  • COA or COT certification is a plus
  • Willingness to complete ongoing training/certification

Compensation & Benefits
