JOB SUMMARY
The Groundskeeper will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety and attractiveness of our outdoor spaces, which include 3 commercial and 26+ residential properties. This position is a member of the Maintenance team, working directly with the Regional Property Manager and the Maintenance Supervisor. This role is crucial in providing a welcoming environment for our members, residents, staff and visitors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

5. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, watering, mulching, pruning, fertilizing, weeding and trimming shrubs and trees to keep the grounds tidy and attractive.
6. Monitor the health of plants and trees and take appropriate measures to address diseases, pests or other issues.
7. Apply snow/ice melt products and/or snow removal when necessary.
8. Manage landscaping projects, including planting flowers, bushes and trees to enhance the aesthetics of the grounds.
9. Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimers, blowers and irrigation systems.
10. Maintain cleanliness by sweeping walkways, removing littler and emptying trash bins regularly.
11. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while performing duties.
12. Collaborate with other staff members and volunteers to coordinate groundskeeping activities and special events.
13. Keep records of maintenance activities, inventory and supplies.
14. Inspect and repair outdoor structures, fences, benches and other amenities as needed.
15. Report major maintenance issues to the Regional Property Manager
16. Perform general maintenance tasks to support Property Management as needed.
17. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Must have a valid Driver’s license and will be required to drive to multiple locations.
3. Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscaping, preferably in a non-profit or similar setting.
4. Knowledge of horticulture, plant care and landscaping techniques.
5. Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively.
6. Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
7. Eager to learn.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1. On-site work environment including outside work.
A. Spending majority of the workday outdoors, regardless of weather conditions
B. Exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, or other environmental elements
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Prolonged walking or standing, repeated stooping, squatting, stretching, requiring full range of body movements. Requires eye and hand coordination in utilizing equipment and tools. Frequent lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds.

SCHEDULE
1. Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:00pm.
WORK LOCATION
Outside of commercial and residential facilities.
