About this position

Description:
  • Work closely with the sales team in managing our broker relationships and new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our broker partners, their clients and our carrier partners.
  • Continually develop knowledge of employee benefits offerings such as: dental, life, disability, vision, accident, critical illness, and medical.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, high-quality service to our broker partners and clients.
  • Manage flow of Requests For Proposal to our carrier partners.
  • Ensure we receive quotes in a timely manner and review for accuracy.
  • Compare current benefits with quotes and determine the best options and recommendations for our broker and employer clients.
Requirements:

Required, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable presenting to clients on the phone, in person, or via webinar.
  • Ability to learn new information and processes quickly.
  • Sense of urgency and strong sense of pride in their work.
  • Thrives in team environment.


The qualified candidate should have the following:

  • Employee benefits industry experience is not required but preferred.
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • Strong organizational, time management and follow-through skills.
  • Highly proficient in the basics of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Life and Health license preferred or willing to become licensed within a certain time frame of employment to be determined when hired. 


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
