About this position
Description:
- Work closely with the sales team in managing our broker relationships and new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with our broker partners, their clients and our carrier partners.
- Continually develop knowledge of employee benefits offerings such as: dental, life, disability, vision, accident, critical illness, and medical.
- Provide prompt, efficient, high-quality service to our broker partners and clients.
- Manage flow of Requests For Proposal to our carrier partners.
- Ensure we receive quotes in a timely manner and review for accuracy.
- Compare current benefits with quotes and determine the best options and recommendations for our broker and employer clients.
Required, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable presenting to clients on the phone, in person, or via webinar.
- Ability to learn new information and processes quickly.
- Sense of urgency and strong sense of pride in their work.
- Thrives in team environment.
The qualified candidate should have the following:
- Employee benefits industry experience is not required but preferred.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented.
- Strong organizational, time management and follow-through skills.
- Highly proficient in the basics of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Life and Health license preferred or willing to become licensed within a certain time frame of employment to be determined when hired.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
