About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and self-motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at our new Athens, TX location. This position is unique in that it combines hands-on daily warehouse tasks with responsibility for supervising one warehouse associate and maintaining the facility. As the only manager on site, the Warehouse Manager will be directly involved in shipping and receiving, inventory organization, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, lead by example, and take ownership of the warehouse’s day-to-day operations and overall upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily shipping and receiving of parts and products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Supervise and support one warehouse associate, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to company processes and safety standards.
Maintain accurate inventory records and organize stock to maximize efficiency.
Keep the warehouse and surrounding property clean, organized, and safe, including light facility maintenance and lawn care as needed.
Inspect the facility regularly and report any building or equipment issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
Coordinate with the main office in Atlanta on incoming shipments, supply needs, and operational updates.
Minimum Qualifications
Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (or willingness to be certified).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable performing physical tasks and working in a hands-on role.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse setting.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software.
Basic mechanical aptitude for light maintenance and facility care.
