About the Role: PRN (PAID per VISIT)
As a Physical Therapist you will play a critical role in helping patients recover from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions by developing and implementing personalized rehabilitation programs. Your expertise will guide patients through therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall physical function. You will collaborate closely with physicians, orthopedic specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. This role demands a compassionate approach to support patients of all ages, including geriatric populations, in achieving their health and wellness goals. Ultimately, your work will significantly enhance patients' quality of life by promoting independence and physical well-being.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New Mexico.
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution (Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred).
- Proven experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy techniques.
- Strong knowledge of sports medicine and treatment of sports-related injuries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in specialized manual therapy techniques or orthopedic physical therapy.
- Experience working with geriatric populations and knowledge of geriatric rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Additional training or certification in sports physical therapy.
- Bilingual abilities to better serve the diverse community in Rio Rancho.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer manual therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques to address musculoskeletal issues and sports-related injuries.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols to optimize recovery outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, therapeutic exercises, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, occupational therapists, and sports medicine specialists to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and integrate evidence-based methods into treatment.
