Role Objective:


The Aviation Ground & Cabin Services Associate is responsible for supporting aircraft readiness and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe hangar environment. This position plays a vital role in daily operations by preparing aircraft cabins, handling basic ground services, and ensuring the hangar and equipment are maintained to high standards. 


Essential Job Tasks:

Line Service / Hangar Support: 

  • Marshal and tow aircraft safely in and out of hangars or ramp areas.
  • Operate ground support equipment (GSE) as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hangar, including sweeping, trash removal, and general upkeep. 
  • Perform basic ramp duties such as chocking wheels, attaching ground power, and placing/removing engines and pitot covers. 

Aircraft Detailing:

  • Clean aircraft interiors and exteriors, including cabins, windows, carpets, leather surfaces, and cockpits.
  • Conduct deep cleans and disinfecting procedures according to company and regulatory standards.
  • Use approved cleaning products and techniques to protect luxury finishes and avionics.

Stocking:

  • Ensure all aircraft are stocked with necessary supplies including catering, beverages, linens, toiletries, and safety equipment prior to departing base. 
  • Rotate inventory and report low stock levels to procurement.
  • Maintain clean, organized stockrooms and ensure items are within expiry dates.

Quality Control:

  • Perform visual inspections to ensure cleanliness, readiness, and presentation of aircraft.
  • Document service completion and report discrepancies to Maintenance or Dispatch.
  • Assist in compliance with FAA regulations, OSHA safety procedures, and company      standards.

Competencies:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous aviation, detailing, or FBO line service experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

  • Work is generally performed in the maintenance and base office facility and within aircraft.

Physical Demands:

  • FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Good vision and depth perception.      
  • Availability during nights, weekends, & holidays as needed. 

Travel:

  • Traveling locally or to the other Fly Alliance branches may be required. 

Required Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in an aviation related field. 

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience with charter operations, aircraft management, or maintenance      divisions.
  • Familiarity with FAA compliance and aviation insurance requirements.

Salary Information

$18 - $20 Hourly Wage
