POSITION SUMMARY
-
Assist the registered nurse and/or provider with data collection, appropriate medical interventions, and patient education within my scope of practice as a student. Perform these duties through teamwork, while exhibiting high customer service and patient safety. The LPN Student will be expected to meet all classwork, clinical, classroom simulation and any other requirements for the LPN program.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education
-
Unconditional admission to CVCC.

Receipt of completed application for admission to practical nursing program before published deadline.

A minimum established score on accepted examination:
- ATI TEAS—a minimum total score of 65% (PROFICIENT level) on the ATI TEAS examination. Scores are valid for 3 years. -OR-
- NLN Pre-Admission (PAX) examination—A minimum composite score of 120 on the NLN Pre-Admission (PAX) examination. Scores are valid for 3 years. -OR-
- ACT- A minimum COMPOSITE score of 21 on the ACT examination. Scores are valid for 3 years. -OR-
- HESI “A2 Assessment” test with 75% or greater on each of the 3 sections (math, grammar, and reading)

High school diploma or GED

A minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA for students without prior college courses

Eligible for ENG 101, BIO 201, and MTH 100.
