Warehouse Assistant

SUMMARY This position performs all warehouse assistant functions and duties and reports to the Fleet &

Warehouse Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintains organized and clean areas inside the warehouse and parking lot

• Maintain orderly storage of stock at all time

• Travels to Portland warehouse location as directed by Fleet & Warehouse Supervisor to accomplish

assigned tasks.

• Ensure that all deliveries are received, checked accurately against order quantities, and stocked into the

warehouse

• Assist with filling technician requests

• Run errands as needed

• Keep all spare work vehicles clean inside and out at all times

• Assemble inventory supplies as needed

• Participate with monthly inventory count

• Work independently and follow a list of tasks assigned daily

• Communicate clearly and effectively

• Uses time efficiently, identifying goals and setting priorities

• Problem solves effectively, offering solutions rather than problems

• Acts as a good steward, wisely managing the company's resources

• Uses safe practices at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

• Current driver's license required

• Eligible for company automobile insurance

• Pesticide applicator license is required within 3 months of start date

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of Warehouse Best Practices for Management, fleet & equipment maintenance

• Successful experience leading in a warehouse/shop environment for a service industry business

• Experience Leveraging IT tools (hardware and software) to improve departmental performance

• Proficiency with computer usage and smart phones.

• Ability to interact with others in a professional, friendly, and engaging way

• Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

• Detail-oriented, efficient, resourceful and organized

• Willingness to learn, receive instruction, and embrace continuous improvement

This position is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and/or balance; seldom required to reach, stoop, reach with

hands and arms. The incumbent must be able to seldom lift and/or move up to 100 pounds or carry objects with

both hands and arms.

Frequent hearing and talking is required on the telephone and in person with individuals, with visual acuity

including close and far distances, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
