Head Lifeguard

Position Overview:

The Head Lifeguard is a lead, on-deck role responsible for pool safety, staff oversight, and daily operations. This position supports lifeguards and pool attendants, enforces safety standards, and serves as the primary point of contact when management is not onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain active surveillance and enforce all pool rules and safety procedures
   
• Lead and support lifeguards during shifts; ensure proper rotations and coverage
   
• Respond to emergencies and complete incident reports as needed
   
• Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to lifeguard staff
   
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily operations
   
• Communicate professionally with patrons and address concerns
   
• Report issues, incidents, or staffing concerns to management
   

Qualifications:

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (required)
   
• Previous lifeguard experience (required)
   
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
   
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
   
• Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
