Key Responsibilities:
•Plan and schedule daily roast lists to meet inventory needs.
•Execute production roasting with precision and efficiency.
•Accurately bag roasted coffee into 5lb, 2lb and 1lb packages.
•Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance on roasting and bagging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
•Collaborate with the Director of Coffee to manage daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
•Oversee the cleanliness and safety of the facility.
•Maintain inventory and stock levels of roasted and bagged coffee.
•Complete and maintain daily food safety and equipment maintenance checklists.
•Monitor supply inventory, placing orders or communicating low stock levels with the Director of Coffee.
•Adhere to all food safety standards and best practices.
•Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
•Assist with Cold Brew production if needed.

Ideal Experience and Skills:
•Proficiency in Cropster and comfort using Google Sheets.
•Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting equipment issues.
•Solid understanding of coffee tasting, brewing, and profile roasting.
•Experience in a production environment with a high level of attention to detail in repetitive tasks.
•Familiarity with food safety standards and compliance.
•Physical ability to lift over 50 lbs regularly and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.

Other details:
•Hourly $20-25
•Reports to: Director of Coffee
•Schedule: 8am-4:30pm with some flexibility on start / end time

Required Permits:
•Food Handlers permit obtained through the local health department.

Essential job functions:
•Repeated heavy lifting. Must be able to lift 50lb above head.
•Constantly standing, walking, stooping, bending, squatting.
•Constantly using hands, wrists, and arms, sometimes in a repetitive manner.
•Pushing and pulling, picking up, and lifting products.
•Regular in-person attendance.

Salary Information

$20 - $25 Hourly Wage
