Receiving Clerk – Inventory & Data Entry
The Receiving Clerk works in both an office and warehouse environment and is responsible for accurately receiving, tracking, and documenting inbound shipments. This role is highly detail-oriented and data-driven, requiring daily, consistent use of Microsoft Excel and inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track receiving appointments and expected deliveries
- Communicate delivery status to the warehouse receiving team
- Inspect inbound shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders
- Document shortages, overages, damages, or quality issues via email, including written explanations and photos
- Enter high volumes of data into Excel spreadsheets and inventory systems daily
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and full inventories
- Adjust stock quantities and reconcile discrepancies using Excel and system reports
- Support inventory audits and reporting as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong Excel skills are required and will be tested during the hiring process
- Data entry accuracy
- Sorting and filtering
- Basic formulas (addition/subtraction)
- Navigating and updating spreadsheets efficiently
- Comfortable working in Excel for extended periods of time
- Bilingual: English/Spanish or English/Hindi required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or GED
