About the position:

We're looking for an energetic, dependable, and eager Houseperson to join our operations team. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves, learn the ins and outs of vacation rental operations, and grow within a hospitality-focused company. No two days are exactly alike — you'll be out in the field, interfacing with beautiful properties, supporting guests, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

This role is perfect for someone who is flexible, self-motivated, and excited to be part of a team that takes pride in the guest experience and preservation of owner assets. 

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Houseperson, you will be a key part of our daily operations, supporting the upkeep and functionality of our vacation rental properties. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Beach Rental Services – Deliver, set up, and retrieve beach and outdoor rental equipment for guests staying at our properties, ensuring items are in excellent condition and properly staged for a great first impression.
• Technology Support – Serve as an on-the-ground resource for basic tech troubleshooting, including TVs, cable boxes, and Wi-Fi connectivity, so guests can enjoy a seamless stay from the moment they arrive.
• Errands & Deliveries – Execute supply runs and deliveries to restock rental units with the essentials guests expect, keeping properties fully prepared at all times.
• Property Care – Support the overall appearance and condition of our properties through landscaping, hardscaping, trash collection, and minor maintenance tasks such as patching and painting.
• Software & Reporting – Use our reservation management and work order software across PCs, tablets, and smartphones to log tasks, track assignments, and communicate updates in real time.
• Linen Processing – Process and manage linens at our commercial laundry facility.
• Quality Assurance – Uphold Beachview Rentals' standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service across all assigned properties.

Skills & Competencies

• We're looking for someone who brings a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. The right candidate will have:
• A strong problem-solving mindset and a genuine passion for customer service
• A professional, punctual, and polished demeanor — you represent Beachview Rentals in the field every day
• The ability to work efficiently and independently while maintaining a neat, presentable appearance
• Comfort using mobile apps for task tracking, photo documentation, and reporting
• Hospitality or property operations experience is a plus, but not required — we're happy to train the right person
• Professional proficiency in English
• Must be 21 or older with a valid California driver's license and a clean driving and criminal record
• Must possess a personal smartphone capable of taking photos, sending emails, and accessing the internet (Beachview Rentals provides a $40 monthly reimbursement toward your phone bill)

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on role. Candidates must be able to:

• Lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of approximately 75 lbs
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Kneel, bend, crawl, squat, and crouch as needed
• Tolerate exposure to dust and standard cleaning chemicals

Compensation & Benefits

• $21 - $23 per hour
