COORDINATOR OF NURSE EXAMINERS
(VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT PROGRAM)

SALARY:$81,313 - $108,241. Please include with your submission minimum salary requirements.

POSITIONOVERVIEW:
Under the direction of a supervisory official within the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office, this position administers and implements the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program to ensure victims of sexual assault receive prompt, sensitive, and coordinated services. The Coordinator oversees forensic evidence collection practices, develops and monitors procedures, and supervises nurse examiners while ensuring program compliance with applicable standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate development,review, and implementation of policies and procedures related to forensic examsand victim services
- Ensure program goals andservice standards are met and continuously improved
- Recruit, train, schedule,supervise, and evaluate Nurse Examiners.
- Conduct and overseephysical and forensic examinations of sexual assault victims.
- Maintain chain of custodyfor evidentiary materials and documentation.
- Serve as liaison amonghospitals, law enforcement, prosecutors, and community partners.
- Provide training,education, and outreach to stakeholders and the community.
- Establish and maintainhospital agreements and training opportunities.
- Manage program data,reports, and budget activities, including funding opportunities.
- Performsother related duties as required to support the mission of the Mercer CountyProsecutor's Office.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Graduation from anaccredited school of professional nursing recognized by the New Jersey Board ofNursing.
Experience
- Three (3) years ofnursing experience in emergency medicine, women's health, or critical care.
Licensure &Certifications
- Valid New JerseyProfessional Nurse license
- Completion of SexualAssault Nurse Examiner (SANE) training
- Forensic Nurse –Certified Sexual Assault (FN-CSA) certification
- Valid New Jersey driver'slicense (if required for position duties)
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge ofnursing practices, forensic procedures, and patient care standards
- Familiarity with evidencepreservation and medical documentation
- Ability to supervisestaff and coordinate program operations
- Effective collaborationwith multidisciplinary partners
- Ability to preparereports, maintain records, and deliver training
- Proficiency withelectronic information systems
