About this position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Architectural Intern supports the Architecture team with design, documentation, and project-related tasks while gaining hands-on experience in a professional design environment. This role provides exposure to real projects across multiple phases, working alongside architects, engineers, and designers under the guidance of licensed professionals.

 

REPORTS TO: Architect  

 

SUPERVISES: No supervisory duties.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist with architectural design and documentation using Revit and other design toolsSupport the development of drawings, plans, details, and construction documentsAssist with producing and maintaining BIM models in accordance with office standardsSupport project teams with specifications, research, and basic cost informationParticipate in design charrettes, coordination meetings, and internal project discussionsAssist with submittals, RFIs, and other construction administration tasks as appropriateParticipate in site visits to observe construction progress and design implementationPrepare presentation materials, renderings, and graphics for internal and client use

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ArchitectureJunior- or Senior-level student preferred

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:  

Working knowledge of Revit and basic familiarity with architectural drafting and modeling preferredUnderstanding of fundamental architectural design principles and construction conceptsAbility to follow direction, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasksAbility to communicate clearly and collaborate in a team-based environmentInterest in learning about the architectural profession, project workflows, and firm operations
