Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Controller to lead our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The Controller will oversee, and when needed run, the day-to-day accounting functions, manage the monthly close process, maintain internal controls, and support strategic financial planning efforts. This is a position of responsiblity, interfacing with senior management and helping drive financial performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budgets.
• Lead and manage the month-end & year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
• Prepare internal financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Calculate financial and operating metrics.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with discipline managers.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to align with strategic goals and company policy.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team to maintain a high-performance culture.
• Support strategic initiatives and financial planning efforts led by the SVP of Operations

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting certification preferred.
• Experience: 
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience with project accounting or cost accounting is advantageous.
  • Proven experience developing and mentoring teams.
• Technical Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP & financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with high attention to details.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
