About this position
Summary:
This Business Development Specialist will lead new sales and business development activities to establish and grow relationships with beauty schools, owners, advisors, and students. This successful candidate will also conduct trainings and events at beauty schools and other Norvell University events and assist with incoming customer service-related calls as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate priorities with Business Development Manager and VP Sales
- Manage and conduct Norvell University trainings and events
- Attend all Beauty Shows scheduled annually
- Coordinate Beauty School trainings with current team, Specialists and Ambassadors
- Contact Beauty School owners and technical advisors
- Evaluate needs of companies and schools to plan NU trainings and Seminars
- Set up schools as SUB-Distributors to sell to students
- Conduct virtual trainings to teachers
- Assist in the building of a “train the trainer” program where we teach beauty school technicians how to train new students.
- Respond to customer service inquiries when needed
- Maintain and build upon relationships with beauty school alumni
- Other job responsibilities as assigned.
Skills/Characteristics Needed for Success:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, high school degree or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of Sales or Customer Service experience.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and to drive the business with a high sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs that manage complex sales cycles including the ability to provide coordination and direction to your team members.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage customer executive relationships at the highest levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
- Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, writing and presentation skills.
- High energy and attention to detail.
Physical and Travel Requirements:
This person can be based remotely in the US and will have up to 50% travel required. May be required to move up to 20 lbs. Extensive travel will be required and expected.
