About this position
Overview
QBE, LLC is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect to support U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) in a full-time, onsite capacity. This role serves as the technical design authority for the ServiceNow platform across mission and enterprise service domains, ensuring the solution is secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with DoD governance and operational priorities. The ideal candidate brings deep platform expertise, strong stakeholder leadership, and a proven ability to translate complex mission needs into an executable ServiceNow architecture.
Key Responsibilities
· Own the ServiceNow platform architecture, establishing patterns, standards, and guardrails for configuration, customization, and extensibility.
· Lead solution architecture and design reviews for new capabilities across workflows, request management, and service domains, ensuring alignment to platform strategy and mission outcomes.
· Define and govern the workflow and automation architecture, driving simplification, reusability, performance, and operational resilience.
· Establish and enforce integration architecture (APIs, authentication, data exchange), coordinating with external system owners to deliver secure, reliable, and supportable connections.
· Lead the architectural design and oversee delivery of ServiceNow implementations aligned with client business objectives, helping clients maximize the platform’s value through effective solutions
· Design and implement business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI policies, ACLs, data policies, and UI scripts
· Lead development efforts across key areas such as: ITSM, HR, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, IRM, CSM, Service Portal, Custom Scoped Applications, Third- Party Applications etc
· Conduct client workshops, support demos, and gather technical and functional requirements
· Create technical architecture documents, including process flows and design specifications
· Review team code and provide feedback to ensure quality and adherence to best practices
· Collaborate with Business Process Consultants during planning and validation sessions
· Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex issues across internal and client teams
· Partner with program leadership and stakeholders across DoD and federal teams to align priorities, manage technical risk, and communicate architectural decisions in a high-visibility environment.

Requirements:Required Qualifications
· Active Secret clearance.
· BA/BS
· 12+ years of relevant experience.
· Extensive knowledge of all ServiceNow modules and best practice use cases
· Demonstrated experience serving as a ServiceNow technical lead or architect in DoD, federal, or enterprise environments.
· Strong command of ServiceNow platform capabilities and scripting/automation concepts sufficient to govern design quality and implementation patterns.
· Proven experience designing and overseeing workflows, policies, rules, and request management solutions at scale.
· Experience with API integrations and cross-platform coordination.
· Hands-on experience with CMDB, Discovery, Software Asset Management (SAM), and Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to sit for extended periods.
· Ability to lift at least 25 lbs periodically.
· Ability to commute onsite to SOUTHCOM daily.
Highly Desired Skills
· ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
· Workflow design, optimization, and troubleshooting expertise.
· Deep experience improving CMDB governance and data structure.
· Strong Discovery implementation and tuning knowledge.
· High-volume request management expertise.
