Position Summary

As part of the Tek Express team and broader Tech24 network, the HVACR Technician plays a critical role in servicing, maintaining, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems for our customers. This position requires strong hands-on technical expertise and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments. The HVACR Technician is responsible for advanced diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs while ensuring safety compliance and quality workmanship. You will serve as a direct representative of Tech24 in the field, maintaining clear communication with customers, dispatch and leadership to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, rooftop units, split systems, and exhaust/make-up air systemsPerform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevityInstall, replace, and commission HVAC and refrigeration systems as neededAccurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company systemCommunicate clearly with customers regarding equipment issues, repair recommendations, and preventative maintenance plansMaintain EPA compliance and adhere to all local, state and federal safety regulationsManage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stockedRespond to emergency service calls in a timely and professional mannerRepresent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer serviceParticipate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration service (preferred)EPA Universal Certification requiredStrong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical diagnostics, airflow systems, and mechanical troubleshootingExperience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plusAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprintsValid drivers license with a clean driving record requiredStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditionsAbility to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quartersOwn industry standard hand toolsWillingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Compensation Transparency

The advertised pay range for this position is $30-$45 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, manufacture certifications, or specialized expertise may be considered at the higher end of the range.
