About this position
SUMMARY
The Technical Sales Trainer serves as the primary instructor and subject matter expert on Habasit belting products and their end-user applications. This role is responsible for driving value-based selling by training the commercial team to identify customer pain points and deliver effective application-specific solutions. Key responsibilities include developing and delivering technical training curricula for new and experienced customer care representatives and sales associates, as well as measuring training effectiveness and continuously improving learning programs to achieve targeted business outcomes. The position may require up to 50% travel with the sales team as part of the on-hands training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Train the commercial team in value-selling methodologies and application-based solutions.
· Travel with sales teams to deliver hands-on, in-field training for real customer applications (May require up to 50% travel with sales team).
· Develop, deliver, and maintain technical training on Habasit belting products and customer applications.
· Create engaging learning experiences using effective training methodologies to ensure strong knowledge retention.
· Curate, develop, and continuously improve training materials, including instructor-led and e-learning content.
· Assess trainee performance and maintain training records.
· Identify training needs aligned with business objectives and collaborate with management as needed.
· Deliver both in-person and virtual training sessions.
· Support customer-facing product training and marketing education initiatives.
· Operate within established budget guidelines and perform other assigned duties.

Required:
· In-depth working knowledge of Habasit belting products and associated customer applications.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, plan effectively, and collaborate across functional and business disciplines.
· US candidates must reside near a major airport
· International candidates must be willing to relocate to Habasit America HQ in Suwanee, GA. (Relocation assistance will be provided)
Preferred:
· Experience in instructional design, including training needs analysis, gap analysis, and adult learning methodologies.
· Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or business administration, or equivalent practical experience.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, and reach. The employee may occasionally operate various equipment and vehicles, including but not limited to forklifts, trucks, and automobiles. Up to 50% travel may be required.
