Description:
We are seeking an experienced sitework Laborer to join our team. Sitework crews must contribute, both individually and collectively, to the production goals set forth by the Foreman and/or Superintendent. To be successful in this role candidates must be safety-minded, reliable and a team player. Quality communication skills and a strong work ethic are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Laborers are responsible for providing a wide range of support duties on excavation projects.
- Assist Foreman, Operators and/or other skilled labors as necessary and needed.
- Communicate with equipment operators via proper hand signals, direct equipment and trucks on site.
- Read and set grades; dig trenches and ditches; rig trench boxes; install pipe and structures; spread materials; lift, push, pull heavy objects.
- Always adhere to strict safety standards and guidelines.
- Load and unload supplies, tools and equipment as necessary and required.
- Prep and clean up construction sites as necessary and required.
- Perform general maintenance on tools and/or equipment as required.
- Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Foreman in a safe and timely manner.
- Complete all training, testing and/or certifications provided and/or required by employer.
- Maintain a willingness to learn, follow instructions and grow with the organization.

HOURS
Monday - Friday 40-hour week (+/-), subject to change due to workload, weather, and job conditions.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 - 5 years’ sitework experience.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from various job sites.
- Ability to work outdoors, year-round, in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to do physical labor and strenuous physical tasks for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull heavy objects frequently and unassisted.
- Working knowledge of hand tools and equipment such as shovels, rakes, and jackhammers.
- Working knowledge of various power tools and machinery used in sitework.
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment used in excavation projects.
- OSHA 10 certification required (internal training available).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Continually required to walk, talk and hear.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finer dexterity.
- Continually utilize visual acuity to perform tasks on job sites.
- Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
- Continually required to lift/push/pull/carry items less than 50 lbs.
- Frequently lift/push/pull/carry items over 50 lbs.
Salary Information
$25.00 - $30.00
