Outside Sales Representative – Commercial Plumbing (DFW)


Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX

Territory: DFW metroplex, with potential expansion into surrounding cities


Modern Mechanical Services is rapidly growing, and we’re launching a dedicated Commercial Plumbing division. We’re looking for a motivated, experienced Outside Sales Representative to drive new business and help us expand our footprint. This is a true sales role — no account management, no juggling service calls. You focus on generating new business while working directly for the President and collaborating closely with our Registered Master Plumber.


What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial property managers, facility managers, building engineers, and business owners
     
  • Identify plumbing needs and present solutions for:
     
    • Commercial plumbing preventive maintenance agreements
       
    • Equipment replacements and retrofits
       
    • On-demand repair service agreements
       
  • Collaborate with our Registered Master Plumber and internal teams to ensure proposals and projects are accurate and profitable
     
  • Expand our commercial plumbing presence in DFW and surrounding cities
     

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in commercial plumbing sales, estimating, or building services
     
  • Ability to assess a property, spot aging systems, and have meaningful conversations with decision-makers
     
  • A hunter mentality — you enjoy prospecting and closing new business
     
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in plumbing, mechanical, or related service industries

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the commercial plumbing, mechanical, building services, or facility maintenance industries

 

Working knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, service agreements, or capital equipment sales

 

Strong communication skills — able to build trust with property managers, facility directors, and business owners

 

Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage your own pipeline and sales activity

 

Comfortable prospecting, cold calling, and presenting proposals in person

 

Basic computer skills and the ability to learn CRM and quoting tools (we use ServiceTrade)

 

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (company vehicle or allowance provided)

 

Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus — not required

 

Must be based in or near the DFW area and willing to travel within your assigned territory
