Summary: The Coordinator of Community Outreach will lead the development and implementation of a volunteer program designed to connect vulnerable seniors in underserved communities with essential services and resources. This role will focus on building trust, fostering community engagement, and ensuring equitable access to programs that enhance seniors' quality of life. The Coordinator will oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and management and will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address barriers and promote inclusivity.Duties: • Design and implement outreach strategies to engage seniors in underserved communities.• Develop and oversee a train-the-trainer program to empower volunteers as community ambassadors.• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making data-driven adjustments as needed.• Build trust within communities by listening to concerns and conducting surveys or focus groups.• Establish relationships with local organizations, cultural groups, and community leaders.• Ensure multilingual and culturally sensitive communication strategies.• Recruit volunteers from target communities and provide comprehensive training.• Support volunteers in delivering resources such as transportation, housing information, financial assistance, and health services.• Collaborate with internal departments to align outreach efforts with existing senior services.• Identify and secure partnerships to expand available resources.• Assist with grant reporting and compliance related to outreach initiatives.• Track program metrics and prepare reports for stakeholders and funders.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, community development, or related field (master's degree preferred). Minimum two (2) years of experience in community outreach, program management, or social services. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Experience working with diverse populations and addressing equity issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Knowledge of senior services and resources is a plus.Hourly rate range and schedule: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour. Salary is commensurate with experience.
