Summary
Provide accurate, prompt and professional member service while promoting credit union services. Actively participate in the virtual branch efforts to meet or exceed assigned production goals.

Essential Functions

1. Provide accurate, prompt, courteous and efficient service to credit union members.

2. Maintain a satisfactory performance record; including balancing, attendance, and sales referrals.

3. Performance of daily duties in compliance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

4. Inform members about additional credit union products and services.

5. Perform accurate complex input/output functions on the credit union computer systems that relates to account, loan, and general ledger postings.

6. Must achieve assigned individual sales goals and actively participate in all branch efforts to meet or exceed assigned production goals.

7. Maintain security of all cash, deposited items, and negotiable instruments.

8. Answer the telephone in accordance with established phone answering sequence, using an established greeting and adhering to a service quality script.

9. Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.

10. Adaptable to changing member services requirements; including scheduling flexibility, self-motivating, and ability to multi-task on different levels.

11. Must participate in activities as assigned by Branch Vice President and/or Operations Managers to achieve branch and/or individual sales goals. Includes telemarketing, in-branch promos, cross-selling and up-selling.

12. Must ensure that each interaction with members and co-workers is polite, professional, and respectful at all times.

13. Must be able to travel and work at other branches as business needs dictate, sometimes on short notice.

14. Must be able to travel to different locations to attend training classes.

15. Successful completion of FSA I required training courses per the Training Development Department or as specified by SVP/RVP.

16. Additional duties as assigned.

3. Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.

4. Adaptable to changing member services requirements; including scheduling flexibility, self-motivating, and ability to multi-task on different levels.


Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. Must be familiar with basic computer functions and programs.
  3. Previous cash handling experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs preferred.
  4. Successful completion of required training courses per the Talent Development Center.
  5. Required training courses must be completed within specified training period or as scheduled by SVP/RVP.

Compensation Range

The company anticipates offering an annual salary between $20.09 and $28.16 for this position at the time of hire. This range includes base salary (or hourly wages) and does not include possible overtime for non-exempt employees or any applicable performance-based incentives or commissions.


Financial Service Associate I - $20.09 - $20.59 - No banking to less than 3 years of banking/financial institution experience. Cash handling and customer service preferred.

Financial Service Associate II - $21.00 - $22.57 - Three years credit union/financial institution experience with strong foundation in member service, cross-selling, and loan processes with one year experience as Financial Service Associate preferred.

Financial Service Associate III - $23.60 - $25.46 - Four years credit union/financial institution experience with strong foundation in member service, cross-selling, and loan processes with one-year experience as Financial Service Representative preferred.

Financial Service Associate IV - $25.00 - $28.16 - Four plus years credit union/financial institution experience with strong foundation in member service, cross-selling, and loan processes with one-year experience as Financial Service Representative preferred.

Salary Information

$20.09 - $28.16 Hourly Wage
