Summary: Electronics Bench Technician is to diagnose & repair analog & digital PCB boards down to the component level.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot PCB circuit boards.
  • Diagnose problems with the PCB circuit board.
  • Repair PCB circuit boards.
  • Complete in a legible manner the daily log sheets for each PCB board repaired.
  • When an R&R is turned over to technicians it is to take priority over all other repairs as we have twenty-four hours to make the repairs, if parts are needed technician is to notify supervisor or leadsperson immediately.
  • Process Return for Credit & Warranties as next control built, & complete paperwork as stated above.
  • Responsible for filling out order sheet for bench components in a timely manner so bench does not run out of supplies.
  • *Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong time management.
  • Proficient use of a multimeter.
  • Proficient ability to solder/desolder.
  • Experience in Surface mount preferred.

Education & Experience:

  • Circuitry certificate, Associate Degree, or Higher.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of troubleshooting PCBs.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a workbench.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
