Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 2 years as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Experience delivering physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Experience working with orthopedic and musculoskeletal patients preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient clinical environments is strongly preferred.
• License/Certification:
  • Active, unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license issued by any U.S. state or territory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross).

• Other Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Deliver physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and mobility activities
• Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure proper use of therapy equipment
• Document treatment sessions accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment
• Support clinic operations by adhering to established schedules, policies, and procedures
