Job Summary: The Bindery and Mailing Operator plays a key role in supporting fulfillment projects by operating a variety of bindery and mailing equipment. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient completion of daily mailings while maintaining high quality standards. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, technical skill, and experience with bindery and mailing processes to keep production running smoothly and reliably.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various bindery and mailing equipment including digital printers, guillotine cutters, folding machines, ink jet printers, affixing machines, die cutters, and inserting machines.
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure efficient and accurate production.
- Monitor production quality and workflow, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely delivery of all mailing projects.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
- Keep accurate records of production output, materials used, and any issues encountered during the process.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating equipment such as digital printers, guillotine cutters, folding machines, inkjet systems, affixing machines, die cutters, and inserting equipment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve equipment or production issues
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to shifting workloads or priorities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate well within a team-oriented environment
- Additional training or certification in printing, bindery operations, or related fields is preferred but not required
