Position Summary:
As a Player Services Staff Member, you will collaborate with both the Golf and Outside Operations staff to assist with all aspects of member and guest services. Your responsibilities will include a mix of customer service, golf cart and club management, and ensuring that all facilities are prepared and well-maintained for a seamless golfing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Golf and Outside Operations staff to ensure an exceptional experience for our members and guests.
- Greet and welcome members and guests with enthusiasm and professionalism; anticipate and assist with their needs throughout the day.
- Respond to member requests in a timely and efficient manner using the work order system.
- Assist in the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of the golf cart fleet, ensuring all carts are ready and in excellent working condition.
- Manage the Bag Room, which includes:
- Preparing member and guest clubs prior to tee time.
- Cleaning and organizing member clubs.
- Monitoring tee sheets for updates via ForeTees.
- Checking out rental sets and cleaning both motor and push carts.
- Maintain and organize the range tee(s), practice areas, and range, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and accessible for members.
- Monitor and assist at the Bag Drop, ensuring the safe handling of members' and guests' clubs and belongings.
- Assist with the setup and operation of golf tournaments and other special events as needed.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Previous golf course or golf shop experience is not required but is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members and team members in both written and oral formats.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, sociable demeanor.
- Ability to lift, carry, and manipulate heavy items, including golf bags, carts, and other equipment.
- A strong commitment to safety and safe working practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and members.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds), including golf bags, furniture, and equipment.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including temperature extremes and inclement weather.
- Requires manual strength and dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and to manipulate heavy objects.
- Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, and walking across the golf course and other areas.
- Speech and hearing for effective communication, both in person and on the phone.
