Job Title: Extrusion Operator 1
Reports To: Extrusion Team Lead
Direct reports: n/a
Key relationships: Extrusion Team Lead, Extrusion Technician, Extrusion Operator
Role Purpose:
Assist in and work towards independence in setting up, pulling down, making adjustments on, and tear down of some extrusion lines and some profiles.
Requirements:
US work authorization (Required)
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Basic math skills
Able to lift 50lbs
Use of quality inspection tools (i.e., calipers, gauges, tape measure, etc.)
Able to follow directives set forth from team lead and/or management

Key Responsibilities:
Extrusion operational readiness, which includes the following:
Assist in, and to be working towards independence in set up, tear down, and pull down of extruder, tooling, and downstream equipment as directed by Team Lead for specific extrusion lines and profiles
Run extrusion line(s) for a whole day or part of a day
Bring compound to extruder and compound according to set-up sheet
Make spools/boxes according to work instructions
Package extruded part according to set-up sheet
Check parts frequently per quality control plan/set-up sheet per conformance to specifications
Identify defects on extruded products
Assist in basic troubleshooting to bring part back into specification
Assist breaks as directed by Management
Assist in running the Regrind area
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
Follow all requirements to support Vista Quality Objectives
If deficient in any area of responsibility, appropriate training will be implemented, and successful completion evaluated. The above items are not an exhaustive description, and additional duties may be required.
