A Day on the Job Summary:
The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the Clubhouse and surrounding campus. This role ensures all furnishings, fixtures, and common areas are clean, well-maintained, and present a welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff. We are looking for at least two individuals to cover our day shift position, starting as soon as possible. Typical shift times are between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., three days a week.
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the Clubhouse and campus, including dusting, polishing, trash removal, supply restocking, and window cleaning
- Maintain all flooring surfaces through vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
- Safely and properly operate cleaning equipment and tools
- Respond promptly to spills and minor cleaning or maintenance issues
- Complete minor repairs to furniture, fixtures, and décor as needed
- Report major repair needs or safety concerns to supervisors or management in a timely manner
- Transport and reposition furnishings throughout the Clubhouse on a regular basis
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
- Communicate daily priorities, completed tasks, and updates to the Housekeeping Manager
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to manage your time efficiently
- Work well when supervisors are not present
- Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently; up to 50 pounds frequently
- Handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning, and other janitorial work
- Ability to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies
- High school diploma
- Ability to use basic cleaning equipment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to loud noise levels and chemicals
- Lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling
- Frequent standing and walking
- Typical shift times between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., three (3) days per week
