About the Role:
The Case Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating and providing comprehensive support to patients navigating complex requirements leading up to bariatric surgery. This position is responsible for developing individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient in partnership with the providers. The Case Manager will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to coordinate each patients specific bariatric program and ensure insurance authorizations and approvals are obtained to ensure timely surgical scheduling.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferred. Experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Experience in case management or insurance, specifically in a surgical subspecialty a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Patient scheduling.
- Coordinating care plans as outlined by providers.
- Insurance authorization and documentation.
- Scheduling surgeries, appointments and procedures in clinic and at hospitals or surgery centers.
