Havenwood Academy is part of The Hope Group. We run a residential treatment center and school in Cedar City, Utah. We serve teenage girls with early childhood trauma who wouldn’t otherwise get care.

Your Opportunity This is your chance to teach students who actually need you. Not the kind of need that shows up in test scores - but the kind where you change someone’s trajectory.

A Day in the Life You’ll teach Science and possibly other core subjects based on student needs. This is an accredited high school with teacher-led instruction across all core areas. You’ll plan lessons, manage a classroom of 8-12 students, and track student progress. Most days include a mix of direct teaching and handling student support needs as they come up with the assistance of your assigned classroom paraprofessional.

Qualifications

• Active teaching license in assigned subject (preferred)
• Experience in a similar role or environment (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree (required)
