Compensation: $25–$35 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Lotus Professional College is a mission-driven institution committed to preparing the next generation of esthetics professionals. We are expanding our Esthetics program and seeking passionate, licensed estheticians who are excited to teach, mentor, and support students in achieving their goals.
We currently have two open part-time teaching positions, and applicants may apply for one or both shifts.
Available Shifts
1️⃣ Morning Shift (PT – Onsite)
Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
2️⃣ Evening Shift (PT – Onsite)
Tuesday–Friday | 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Position Overview
The Basic Esthetics Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction through engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training. Instructors support student learning, uphold regulatory requirements, and help prepare students for licensure and employment.
Teaching Certification Requirement:
All esthetics instructors in Virginia must hold a Board-approved Esthetics Instructor License or complete the required instructor training.
Applicants who do not yet hold the certification may still apply if they are willing and able to obtain the credential quickly, with guidance from Lotus Professional College.
Primary Responsibilities
Teach engaging, state-aligned Basic Esthetics curriculum (theory + practical)
Demonstrate proper techniques and support students in skill development
Provide coaching, mentorship, and individualized student feedback
Maintain accurate academic records including attendance and grades
Prepare lesson plans, educational activities, and instructional materials
Ensure compliance with Virginia DPOR regulations and accreditation standards
Promote professionalism, safety, client care, and industry best practices
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications (Virginia Requirements Included)
Current Virginia Esthetician License (must be in good standing)
Esthetics Instructor License OR willingness to quickly obtain the certification
Eligibility includes completing:
A VA Board–approved instructor training program under a certified instructor and passing the exam,
ORCompleting a Board-approved post-secondary teaching techniques course
Must meet Virginia disclosure requirements for disciplinary actions or convictions
Minimum 3 years of professional esthetics experience
Strong communication skills and ability to motivate diverse learners
Competence with Microsoft Office / Google Suite
Familiarity with learning management systems or online platforms preferred
Ability to maintain a calm, patient, and structured classroom environment

Part-Time positions available (AM or PM)
Onsite, in-person only — not a hybrid or remote role
Hourly rate: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience
Budgeted hours align with selected shift
